I got a chance to experience an amazing event. To some it may just be an eclipse but to me it was an experience of a life time. I drive at total of 28 hours in a 48 hour time frame from Pennsylvania to Columbia, SC. It was a last minute trip and i was completely unprepared. I had barely any experience with photography let alone photographing a total solar eclipse. But again it is not about how much you know about something but about the experience of that thing that will stay with you forever. I do not know if i will ever get to see a total solar eclipse again in my lifetime but i know that making that last minute decision which i did not want to make was one of the best things i have ever decided to do. To experience something so amazing was worth all the logistical headaches.

I got the chance to be a part of a showcase at a small gallery and i am completely grateful that i was able to show a few of my photos. Thank you to the people that put this together that thought my photos were good enough to be included with so many great and talented painters and photographer. The Antoine Dutot Museum in the Delaware Water Gap is a great museum showing casing the history of the Delaware Water Gap.

This week I was honored and given the opportunity to display one of photos at the Antoine Dutot Museum and Gallery in the Delaware Water Gap http://www.dutotmuseum.com/ I am super grateful to even be considered to showcase what I consider my hobby with some very talented artist. I guess when you love and have a passion for something cool things happen. who knew taking photos would be one thing that makes me forget all my worries.

ps. my photo is in the first picture 2nd row middle. taken at Yosemite National Park in one of my Hobo Travels

Most people have not gotten the chance to see this country by train and i was lucky to get the chance to do it. Jumping on a plane from New Jersey to California and then catching a train all the way back to New York is something most would say why? And other would say How much. I had both questions and after researching the answers i decided to take the plunge. The roughly 4 day trip in a coach seat with no bed or shower may sound crazy but it was more comfortable and amazing than i thought. I got to meet some great people onboard. Some traveling alone some with family. I loved every minute of it. It was eye opening to see how beautiful this country is. Some parts that some ever get to see. The middle of America where people travel by train because Airports are small and regional and super expensive. Yes you may not smell the best when you are done with this adventure but the memories and the stories you will have will be worth more than the $185 ticket price on the Amtrak California Zephyr.

Go out and do something that is out of your comfort zone specially if you are an introvert like myself, you will thank yourself later.
